Let’s Watch: Thank You for Thinking of Me is a film screening and community conversation that’s more than just sitting down to watch something together. This is a space to ground with directly impacted folks, have real conversations about what the film brings up, and connect it back to our own lives and organizing.
We’ll be talking about the criminal punishment system, and what it means to actually show up for each other through mutual aid, community care, and court watching. Just like court watching asks us to witness, document, and hold the system accountable, this conversation will push us to reflect on how we can do the same in our everyday organizing. Folks will walk away with a deeper understanding of how the criminal injustice system harms our people, and with concrete ways to plug in, build with us, and take action in their own communities.
It’s not just a screening, it’s about making space for reflection, connection, and imagining what’s possible when we move together.
