Communications Director

 

We are currently seeking one strong and dynamic Communications Director to join our statewide team! Communications Director is a full time position. You will work in partnership with the Mass Liberation Communications Team and collaborate closely with all internal staff.

The Communications Director will help to shape Mass Liberation AZ’s communications strategy, including managing vendor relationships and financials, writing press releases and responding to inquiries, contributing to developing the organization’s visual identity, and creating public-facing content that is consistent with the organization’s agenda and values. This position will be accountable to the Executive and Organizing Directors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Manage the Communications Team, including creating agendas, facilitating meetings, assigning tasks, following up on action items, and other responsibilities
  2. Lead on development and implementation of internal communication policy
  3. Manage the organization’s internal and external websites and social media accounts
  4. Contribute to programmatic content development, including political education design, political messaging, advertising, and communication w/ MLAZ base and members
  5. Review and manage data related to public-facing communications
  6. Collaborate on developing and maintaining the organization’s visual identity with a focus on long-term strategy and planning
  7. Contribute to key programmatic priorities, including civic engagement field management as well as the organization’s policy advocacy work
  8. Work with staff members, freelancers, consultants, and vendors to facilitate the processing of reimbursements, contracts, invoices, and other payments
  9. Prepare documents to support fundraising and partnership development efforts
  10. Serve as media spokesperson through the drafting of press releases, media interviews, and other forms of public messaging
  11. Ensure internal and external communications are in compliance across all entities (C3, C4, State PAC, and Federal PAC)
  12. Propose, maintain, and manage quarterly budget
  13. Maintain a working relationship with our fiscal agent, Tides Advocacy
  14. Carry out any other duties as requested by the Executive and Organizing Directors

Employment Type:
Full-time, exempt

Pay:
Mass Liberation Arizona offers a generous compensation package, including full medical, vision, and dental coverage, and personal/sick leave. The salary for this position is commensurate with experience. The salary for the Communications Director is $61,000 – $75,000 per year and commensurate with experience.

Operations Coordinator

We are currently seeking one strong and dynamic Operations Coordinator to join our statewide team! Operations Coordinator is a full time position. You will work in partnership with the Mass Liberation Leadership Team and collaborate closely with our institutional partners and external consultants.

The Operations Coordinator will ensure smooth operations for Mass Liberation AZ and be responsible for meeting schedules, logistics and coordination, travel arrangements, coordinating meeting logistics, invoice processing, expense reimbursements, and other administrative tasks. The position will report directly to the Executive Director. 

Employment Type:
Full-time

Pay:
$45,825 – 52,000/yr (salary based on 40 hour work week)
