BLACK
SOLIDARITY

This is the jumping off point if you’re a white person who understands that white supremacy negatively impacts every area of our lives, and that the system is working exactly as it was designed to!

1

First, it is essential you understand and demonstrate that the people closest to the problem are closest to the solution. That means your main role as a white person is to listen to, trust, and follow Black and directly impacted leadership. Practice showing up, being quiet, and not centering yourself!

Check out the abolitionist values and principles that guide all of our work and challenge yourself to practice them every day

Check out these best practices white folks must commit to in order to be in right relationship and show up in a meaningful way in Black spaces.

2

Second, it is essential to remember that anti-racism work is never ‘complete’, a lifetime of reflection and unlearning is required. Unlearning toxic whiteness and dismantling white supremacy takes continuous effort and commitment and absolutely must be done to deconstruct the violence inherent in white supremacy culture.

Please check out these resources in the gallery below that our partners at InSite Consultants created to support your reflective practice:

3

Third, know that the struggle for Black liberation absolutely takes dedicated effort and will require you showing up again and again in solidarity with Black abolitionist leadership. If you want to get involved, start by signing up below for our regular meeting:
